Viewer Interactive Installation, 2001
This installation was inspired by the illustration of gravity well by astrophysicist Stephen Hawking. The plywood armature of the cone was lined with plates of reflective copper to reflect the light and heat emanating from the lighting apparatus overhead. The event took place inside a functioning aircraft hangar, taking advantage of anxieties commonly
associated with air travel.
